OBU Fashion Show and Black Girls Rock Award Show
It was a weekend filled with events were black excellence was put on display. Many groups were able to be put center stage from dance performances, step teams, musical guests, models, and award winners. The Organization of Black Unity presented their fashions show with the theme being Dear OBU which walked us through the stages of Love. Solidarity Gathering
Tragic events on MSU‘s campus occurred on Monday night, Feb. 13. A lone gunman killed three students and injured five. The gunman died of a self-inflicted wound according to the New York Times. The flags for Michigan State University and Central Michigan University hung side-by-side over the stage in Finch Fieldhouse Feb. 15, as CMU students, faculty and staff stood together in solidarity and support of the Spartans.
