Central Michigan University Provost Paula Lancaster told Academic Senate to continue working as usual while CMU is looking for more answers about the legal powers of "Dear Colleague" letter from the United States Department of Education. In the letter, educational institutions are adviced to end Diversity, Equity and Inclusion efforts. The letter said educational institutions must not treat a person of one race differently from a person of another race, including white and Asian people.
