Mount Pleasant City Commission elected Bryan Chapman as the new mayor and Boomer Wingard as the new vice mayor at the City Hall on Jan. 13, 2025. "I'm just excited to be in this role," Chapman said. "I think it's a privilege to serve the community this way, and the community entrusts us to do it and do it well, and so that's what I'm committed to, is making the best decision I can every opportunity I can."
