Inside a partially abandoned warehouse on Pickard Road, the fragrant scent of essential oils fills the air of a small but colorful room. Dried plants hang from the ceiling and a rack lined with rows of soap bars, each one unique, sits in the center of the room. This is where Sarah Stevens, owner of Love That Soap, spends much of her time. Love That Soap is a handmade soap business in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. However, the business wasn’t always hers.
