Central Michigan University's volleyball team hosted Western Michigan Thursday, Oct. 17, in McGuirk Arena. The team hosted a block party and gave out free t-shirts and pizza. Central Michigan won 3-0.

Celebrating Indigenous Peoples Day, Mid Michigan College in partnership with the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe presents the Indigenous Peoples Day event on Monday, Oct. 14, at Mid Michigan College Mount Pleasant Community Room. The event surrounded cultural traditions by having representatives of the Tribal Council, and keynote speaker Lisa Kennedy (Waagosh-Kwe). After hearing about cultural traditions, attendees got the opportunity to participate in the splinting of black ash wood and weaving it.
Central Michigan University celebrates 100 years of CMU with a decades themed Homecoming Rock Rally on Friday, Oct. 11, in Plachta Auditorium. RSOs participated in friendly competition against each other in lip-sync battles. Along side RSO performances, students and CMU dance teams also got the crowd fired up for homecoming weekend.
Central Michigan's field hockey team lost to Michigan State University 3-1 on Sunday, Oct. 13, at Cristy Freese Field. This was senior night for CMU. Seniors celebrated with family and friends on the field after the game.
The Central Michigan football team lost to Ohio University 27-25 on Saturday, Oct. 12, at Kelly/Shorts Stadium. Ohio University graduate student Parker Navarro was the games-leading passer and rusher with 147 passing yards and 176 rushing yards for 323 total yards.
Central Michigan came up short against the University of Ohio, losing 27-25 on Saturday, Oct. 12, at Kelly/Shorts Stadium. CMU scored all of their points in the second half. Marion Lukes finished with 20 carries for 100 yards and three touchdowns.

Central Michigan's Annual Homecoming Parade went through campus and downtown Mount Pleasant on Saturday, Oct. 12. This year, CMU is celebrating a century of Homecoming traditions, marking 100 years of school spirit. Participating in the parade were Mt. Pleasant Businesses, Student Organizations, CMU Offices, Athletic Teams, Local Politicians, and so much more.
The Central Michigan Chippewas Field Hockey team fell to Ball State 1-3 loss leaving their score for the season at 3-9 on Friday Oct. 11 at Cristy Freese Field.
Central Michigan's volleyball team fell to the University of Toledo 1-3 on Thursday, Oct. 10 at Savage Arena in Toledo, OH. Senior outside hitter Lauren Schrock led CMU in kills with 15. Junior outside hitter Natalia Rejment led the team in aces with two and in digs with 21. Olin led in blocks with two. Senior setter Allie Korba had the most assists with 50. The loss brought CMU's record to 4-2 in conference play and 13-5 overall.
Central Michigan lost to Ball State on Thursday, Oct. 10, at the CMU Soccer Complex by a score of 1-0. It was Breast Cancer Awareness / Neon Day, and free neon sticks and pink attire were handed out. Despite being shut out, CMU had their most shots in a game since Sept.11 against Purdue Fort Wayne.
In honor of 100 years of Central Michigan University the Student Activities and Involvement hosts the Homecoming Trivia Event on Thursday, Oct. 10, in Bioscience 1010. A night full of friendly competition, snacks, and prizes. The decade-themed trivia was presented in a Kahoot where attendees would team up and use one device.
Central Michigan University students on six teams, Swerill, Saxe Herrig Celani Community Council, Towers Addition, FEW, Original Towers and BORP participate in the battleship homecoming game, Tuesday, Oct. 8, in the SAC pool. Team Saxe Herrig Celani Community Council came out on top with the win over the other five teams.

Central Michigan field hockey fell to Bellarmine on Friday, Oct. 4, at Cristy Freese Field with a score of 4-3. This marks their seventh straight loss after starting the season 3-1. Sophomore forward Zoey Emrick scored her fourth goal, matching her season total from last year.
