Mount Pleasant Christmas Celebration
Students and members of the community enjoy the lighted displays and warming booths with hot chocolate and cookies set up throughout downtown Mount Pleasant. The parade occured at 6 p.m. on the second evening of Mount Pleasant's Christmas celebration on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2015.

CMU vs EMU
The Chippewas used a 28-point fourth quarter to erase a 14-point deficit to beat Eastern Michigan 35-28. It was the regular-season finale on Nov. 27, 2015 at Kelly/Shorts Stadium.
Gymnastics Excite Night 2015
Central Michigan gymnastics had its first chance to perform in front of an audience this season at Excite Night on Friday, Nov. 21, 2015 at McGuirk Arena. The event gave fans an opportunity to get a better understanding of the sport, watch the team perform, and get autographs.
BUG: A University Theatre Studio Production
The University Theatre rehearsed "BUG" by Tracy Letts at 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, in Moore Hall’s Theater on the side.
Directed by Richard Bronson, this dark show features a faculty member, Keeley Stanley-Bohn in the lead role opposite senior Alexander Cabala.
"This is a very dark show that I believe a lot of CMU students would enjoy," Cabala said.
The show will run Thursday, Nov. 19 through Saturday, Nov. 21at 7:30 p.m. in Moore Hall's Theater on the side and admission is free.

Students and members of the community take part in "Treat Yo Self" spa day at Mount Pleasant's MJ Murphy Beauty College, Tuesday, November 17, 2015. Student and professional stylists from the area took shifts volunteering their time.
Color Combat: The Ultimate Paint War
RPL 430 hosted Color Combat: The Ultimate Paint War on Nov. 9, 2015 at Finch Fieldhouse. Students paid an entry fee and had a spot in the paint war. All proceeds went to LGBTQ Trans Awareness Week. Over thirty people attended and the class raised more than $200.
Football: CMU vs. Toledo
Toledo beat the Chippewas 28-23 on Nov. 10, 2015 in Kelly/Shorts Stadium. The Chippewas move to 4-2 in the Mid-American Conference.

Jerky For Our Troops
The non-profit organization Aaron's Gifts From Home held a concert featuring the Chad Lee Band on Nov. 7 at Wayside Central. The event collected both monetary and jerky donations for troops overseas in memory of HN Aaron Ullom of the United States Navy.
Derby Days Pageant
Sigma Chi held a pageant at Broadway Theatre as a part of its Derby Days events. Members of sororitys competed in talent, formal wear, and Q&A segments throughout the evening. Top finishers were Detla Zeta and Phi Mu. Sigma Kappa took home first place.
CMU vs. Akron
The Chippewas topped the Akron Zips 14-6 on Oct. 31, 2015 thanks to a strong defensive effort. CMU moves to 5-4 and 4-1 in the Mid-American Conference with the victory.
Halloween Trick-or-treaters visit Residence Halls

The Central Michigan University Rugby Rebels
The Central Michigan University Rugby Rebels are a club sport, but relationships between teammates are just as strong as any varsity team, said Ohio senior Ally “Sonic” Gryczewski.
“I know that no matter what, we always have each others back,” she said. “We’re like the island of misfit toys. Everyone is super accepting and supportive.”
The sport gives women an opportunity to play a full contact club sport. This year, the Rebels will competed in the Mid-American Conference Women’s Rugby Conference against Ohio University, Ball State, Miami University, Kent State and Bowling Green State University. The Rebels finished their fall competitive schedule last weekend against Davenport University, ending the season with a 3-3 record.
