Wrestling vs Cleveland State
Central Michigan faced off against Cleveland State at McGuirk Arena, Sunday, Jan. 19, 2025. CMU came in with two straight wins against Northern Illinois and Drexel, while Cleveland State looked for their first win of the season. Through four matches it was close, CMU 9 and CSU 7. However, in the final six matches, CMU would outscore Cleveland State 20-3. Securing their fourth win of the season, putting their record at 4-5 overall, and 2-0 in MAC play. Five CMU wrestlers would win by either a tech fall or a major decision, including No. 26 redshirt junior Mason Shrader and No. 32 redshirt junior Tyler Swiderski. They now travel to Washington D.C for the Chippewa Challenge against Campbell University on Sunday, Jan. 26.
