Women's Basketball vs. Toledo: MAC Quarterfinals
The Central Michigan women's basketball team lost to Toledo 76-58 in the quarterfinals of the MAC Tournament at Rocket Arena in Cleveland, Ohio, on Wednesday, March 12, 2025. Central Michigan senior guard Jess Lawson led the team with 14 points and 13 rebounds. Central Michigan freshman guard Madi Morson scored 12 points and now holds the record for most points scored by a freshman in CMU\\u2019s history. Morson was also named the MAC Freshman of the Year after averaging 16.5 points per game. Toledo was led by graduate student guard Sammi Mikonowicz, who scored a game-high 18 points, going 5-12 from the field. Toledo moves on to face Buffalo in the semifinals on Friday, March 14, 2025.
