Women's Basketball vs. Kent State
Kent State defeated Central Michigan 77-56 at McGuirk Arena, Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2025. Kent State was led by senior guard Jenna Batsch who scored a game-high 16 points. Central Michigan's leading scorer was senior guard Jess Lawson with 14 points. Central Michigan was outscored in every quarter except the last, scoring 19 points in the fourth. The 14th edition of the Hoops for Hunger game saw 1,510 in attendance as local schools visited McGuirk Arena. Children in attendance received Hoops for Hunger stickers and were encouraged to get loud during the game. Central Michigan's next game will be at home against rivals Western Michigan for their 43rd all-time meeting.
