Searching for Hannah Crafts: The First Black Woman Novelist
CMU's College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences and the Department of History, World Languages and Cultures hosts Dr. Gregg Hecimovich, a professor from Furman University, as a speaker for the William T. Bulger Lecture Series in Opperman Auditorium on Thursday, Feb. 20, 2025. Hecimovich talked about the process of his research learning about Hannah Crafts and the novel she wrote while escaping slavery.
