Kimberly Chapman Artist Reception
Kimberly Chapman presented her "Eighty-Six Reasons for Asylum Admission" art exhibit in the Baber Room Gallery in the Central Michigan University Library, Wednesday, March 19, 2025. The exhibit follows why women were commonly admitted into mental asylums in the 1800's. She shows the terrible things women had to go through with her art and the challenges they have faced. "It was a way for men to take outspoken wives or daughters and just put them away and forget about them," Chapman said.
