A Conversation with Misty Copeland
Misty Copeland, a principal dancer with the American Ballet Theatre, spoke to an audience during the ‘A Conversation with Mistry Copeland’ event at Plactha Auditorium, inside Warrnier Hall, March 3, 2025. Copeland is the first Black woman to be promoted to Principal Dancer in the history of the American Ballet Theatre. Copeland answered questions from Central Michigan assistant professor Heather Trommer-Beardslee, and Central Michigan senior Myairra Jefferson, as she described the challenges and struggles she’s faced in her career.
