The Central Michigan University Police Department responded to the following incidents between Feb. 20 and March 3:

Feb. 20

At 9:30 p.m., CMUPD was dispatched to Kulhavi Hall because a fire alarm switch was pulled. When police officers arrived, they realized it was a false report. Once they reviewed the security camera footage, they found that the suspect was an 18-year-old female. When officers confronted the suspect, she said she did it for no reason and wouldn't do it again.

Feb. 23

At 2:45 a.m., CMUPD received a person of interest report outside Saxe Hall. The person was a 19-year-old male who had been lying outside, but it is not known how long. When officers arrived, the suspect was seen to be intoxicated and threw up. He was later taken to the hospital by paramedics.

At 3 a.m., CMUPD responded to a supposed physical altercation between two people at the Courtyard Marriott Hotel on Mission Street. The caller reported the 20-year-old male slapping the 19-year-old female as well as arguing and drinking. When officers arrived, the victim said there was no assault but they were lightly shoving each other. Supposedly, he stranded her at the hotel and she couldn't find her phone. Officers got ahold of her mom who later picked her up. She eventually got her phone and the case was closed.

Feb. 25

At 9:45 p.m., police was dispatched to the Park Library for disorderly conduct. The 29-year-old male was yelling and drinking alcohol. When officers showed up, they noticed a bottle of Fireball sticking out of the man's backpack. The suspect argued with police and was later taken off CMU's campus. He is now trespassed off of CMU's property.

Feb. 26

At 7:45 a.m., a 36-year-old female was entering a roundabout when a 67-year-old male entered the roundabout disregarding the yield sign, and struck her vehicle. CMUPD said there were no injuries.

At 12 p.m., a 24-year-old male reported damage to his parked vehicle in Lot 62. The other drivers were initially unknown until officers reviewed the footage and found the suspect to be a 19-year-old female. When CMUPD confronted her, she said she checked the vehicle and didn't see any damage. No further action was taken.

Feb. 28

At 11 p.m., CMUPD responded to a police-required assist from the Mount Pleasant Police Department at Wayside Central. The suspect was a 22-year-old male who was fighting with a Mount Pleasant police officer. He resisted arrest and was transported to Isabella County Jail.

Mar. 1

At 1 a.m., CMUPD were called back to Wayside for police-required assist. The 24-year-old suspect attempted to flee from the Mount Pleasant Police Department. Officers later caught him and took him to Isabella County Jail.

Mar. 3

At 9:30 a.m., CMUPD responded to a damage to property report from Central Michigan University. In Dow Science, there was a broken alarm panel which resulted in the alarm not being able to shut off. No suspects were identified and CMU's IT fixed the alarm panel and all was resolved.
