For Art’s Sake is hosting its second annual Sweetheart Market to provide all of your Valentine’s Day needs. From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Feb. 8 and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Feb. 9, the shop will be offering a variety of products and activities that are open to the public.
The Sweetheart Market will sell a variety of products sourced from all over mid-Michigan. For Art’s Sake volunteer Grace Yeomans said that attendees can expect to find jewelry, crochet goods, cottage core artwork, paintings and much more.
Yeomans said that the market was created in 2024 by volunteers who sell artwork at For Art’s Sake as a fun way to compensate for the lack of events hosted by the shop in February.
“(The market) is helping to promote our vendors here and promote the store and what we do, so we were really excited to do it again,” Yeomans said.
The Sweetheart Market will also offer bracelet and card-making stations that are free for public participation.
Additionally, a hot cocoa bar will be up and running for the duration of the market.
“We're just really excited to start having markets for the year and we're really excited that people are taking interest in us,” Yeomans said.
