Incumbents take Mount Pleasant City Commission seats

Maureen Eke (left), Amy Perschbacher (middle) and Elizabeth Busch won the Mount Pleasant City Commission Election.

Liz Busch, Maureen Eke and Amy Perschbacher won seats on the Mount Pleasant City Commission this Tuesday. 

All three candidates were seeking re-election. Brian Assman was also on the ballot but was around 3% short on votes. Liz Busch had the most votes with 28.36% and 3,665 votes. Eke secured 24.68% and Perschbacher with 24.20%.

Perschbacher currently serves as Mount Pleasant Mayor. Busch and Eke have served on the City Commission since 2022, and Perschbacher since 2019. Their next terms will start on Jan. 1, 2025. 

“I am grateful for the support the residents have given me,” Perschbacher said. “ I feel very honored to be chosen to continue to serve Mt Pleasant.”
