After sweeping both Western Michigan and Northern Illinois this past weekend, Central Michigan volleyball keeps the brooms out as it also sweeps the weekly Mid-American Conference awards.

Junior setter Allie Korba earned MAC setter of the week after dishing out 76 assists, leading the Chippewas to an efficient .347 hitting percentage over both matches.

After having to take on the full load at setter, Korba has risen to the occasion and brought consistency to the Central Michigan offense.

Freshman middle blocker Grace Thomas earned MAC offensive player of the week after racking up 22 kills on a percentage of .595 with no attack errors.

With 16 of those kills coming against WMU on Thursday, it marked a career high for the freshman phenom.

Freshman libero Hannah Langton earned MAC defensive player of the week after contributing 28 digs in the two victories. Langton continues to be a strong anchor for this formidable Chippewa defense.

The two wins bring CMU’s overall record to 16-5, surpassing last year's win total of 15.

The Chippewas also sit atop the MAC standings at 7-2, currently locked in a three-way tie with Bowling Green and Buffalo. CMU will face off against the Bulls this upcoming weekend.
