Early in the second half, Ohio's offense was humming as Bobcat forward Aubrey Rhea stormed down the field. Rhea found Jaimason Brooker, and with one swift kick, Ohio secured its third score of the day.

The final score for the Bobcats put the game out of reach as Central Michigan soccer fell 3-0 on Sunday.

CMU falls to 5-8-4 on the season and 3-4-3 in Mid-American Conference play. The Chippewas are tied for eighth in the MAC.

From the start, Ohio's offense maintained the advantage in time of possession, successfully keeping the CMU defense on its toes.

The Bobcat offense struck early at the 3-minute mark with Jaimason Brooker finding herself a wide open look to take an early 1-0 lead.

The teams traded defensive stops on back-to-back possessions before the the Ohio offense began firmly taking control with three shots in rapid succession. The Bobcats found the net for a second time 24-minutes into the first half to take a commanding 2-0 lead.

After some heroics from Chippewa goalkeeper Allison LaPoint, Central Michigan headed into halftime facing a 2-0 deficit.

Ohio came out of the half and picked up where it left off, with the Bobcats offense setting the pace of the game early in the second half.

Nine minutes into the second half the team from Athens scored for a third time when Brooker found a clear shot for her second goal of the day to elevate the score to 3-0.

Following the third goal the Chippewa defense found its footing but it was too late and CMU would fall to Ohio 3-0 for its sixth shut out loss of the season.

Central Michigan will look to bounce back and keep their MAC title hopes alive at home on Thursday when they host Buffalo at 3 p.m.
