On a windy day in Mount Pleasant, Central Michigan women's soccer welcomed Green Bay University. CMU came into the game with a record of 1-3-1.

Coming off a draw to South Dakota, the Chippewas were looking to bounce back.

Green Bay came out strong and had the first three shots on goal, all stopped by goalkeeper Allison LaPoint.

“(LaPoint) does a great job," Jeremy Groves said. "She gives our defense reinsurance when she's back there..they can take more chances”.

She kept the Green Bay offensive attack at bay while CMU was trying to find their game. The game remained scoreless throughout the first half.

The only goal was scored with only 13 minutes left in the game by Green Bay's Senah Hanes off a feed from Laney Stark.

Even after a flurry of chances from CMU, the final horn went off with the game ending 1-0.

“It's frustrating, it was a carry over from Thursday,” Groves said.

The Chippewas will head to Fort Wayne, Indiana to take on another Horizon League Team in Purdue Fort Wayne on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
