CRIME LOG: CMUPD handles domestic assaults, alcohol incidents, traffic accidents
The following incidents were among those handled by the Central Michigan University Police Department in the period of Oct. 24 to Oct. 27.
Oct. 24
CMUPD received a report of a traffic accident at 2 a.m. near the Northwest Apartments. The car was going at a high speed at a turn and hit a light pole and a sign. Driver was a 22-year-old male, and two passengers were a 22-year-old female and a 22-year-old male.
Oct. 26
Officers responded to a call of an assault at 4 a.m in Woldt Hall. Victim was a 22-year-old male, and the suspect was a 22-year-old female. They were in a relationship. Police determined that the suspect struck the male in the face leaving him with a bloody nose. The two were separated for the rest of the night.
Oct. 27
CMUPD got a call at 10:39 p.m. from Carey Hall to check on intoxicated people. Three 19-year-old females were transported to a hospital.
Police received a call at 11:19 p.m. from Broomfield Street. An 18-year-old female was found on the ground by people around her. CMUPD determined that she fell multiple times due to alcohol. She was transported to a hospital.
