Alexander earns MAC player of the week honors
Senior Kelsey Alexander was named Mid-American Conference Softball Player of the Week on Tuesday following three home runs in three games over the weekend.
During the five weekend games, Alexander batted a .500, hitting three home runs and a double while driving in four runs for the Chippewas.
Alexander leads the team in home runs with five while also leading in RBIs with 12 and slugging percentage with .773.
CMU went 3-2 over the weekend and is currently 7-8 as it continues at The Spring Games.
The Chippewas will finish up their trip to Madeira Beach, Florida with a double-header versus Army on Wednesday starting at 12 p.m.
