CMU's Kevin Miller exits transfer portal, will return to Chippewas
Kevin Miller will be back in a Central Michigan uniform heading into his sophomore season.
Miller announced that he is returning to CMU for his second year Sunday via Instagram. He entered the transfer portal June 14 but has elected to remain with the Chippewas.
The news is paramount for head coach Tony Barbee, as Miller was the team's top scorer a season ago. In his freshman campaign, the Chicago native played in all 30 games and averaged 13.1 points per game.
For his efforts, Miller earned honorable mention All-Mid-American Conference and All-Freshman team honors.
The Chippewas have added to the backcourt, signing Coppin State junior transfer Jesse Zarzuela and freshmen Emil Skytta, Reggie Bass and Max Majerle.
CMU finished 7-23 last season, with a 6-12 record in conference play. Its season ended in the MAC Tournament with a 72-71 loss to top seed Toledo.
