Interested in knowing what's happening in this community? Have an opinion to share? Want to be an advocate for transparency?
Central Michigan Life is where you need to be.
Tonight from 6-8 p.m. students can tour the CM Life office in Moore Hall Room 433-442, meet one-on-one with editors and apply for various staff positions.
CM Life is seeking to hire reporters, photographers, videographers, podcasters, regular columnists and more to begin work during the Spring 2021 semester.
Editor-in-Chief Michael Livingston said CM Life wants to diversify its newsroom as CMU recovers from the COVID-19 pandemic.
"Student journalists can't just come from our journalism department," Editor-In-Chief Michael Livingston said. "If CM Life is the voice of students, then we need to make sure all those voices are represented in the newsroom."
Staff members work with their editors to produce content that informs and entertains the community. Staff positions are paid per submitted piece of content – meaning flexible hours and accommodations for students who have another job.
