Men's basketball home game postponed, two road games moved due to pandemic
Three of CMU's men's basketball games have been changed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Mid-American Conference announced on Saturday.
The Chippewas' Jan. 2 home game against Miami (Ohio) has been postponed to a later date due to COVID-19 issues in the RedHawks program.
Two CMU road games -- at Akron and Bowling Green -- have been moved, as well. The Chippewas were scheduled to play the Zips on Jan. 5, but the teams will play at 7 p.m. on Jan. 1. CMU and the Falcons were scheduled to play on Jan. 9, but will play on Jan. 5 at a time to be determined.
In a release sent by the MAC, three programs -- Buffalo, Kent State and Miami (Ohio) -- are all on pause due to COVID-19-related issues.
Six games throughout the conference were postponed due to the pauses within the three programs.
CMU (4-4) is scheduled to play on Dec. 29 at Eastern Michigan in Ypsilanti.
