RPL students to put on virtual talent show for students
Central Michigan University students in the recreation, parks and leisure "Planning Recreation Programs & Events" (RPL 430) class is putting on Center Stage, a virtual talent show .
The event showcasing talents of CMU students will be broadcasted at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 12 via Facebook Live and Zoom.
Kayla Mulder, one of the student coordinators for Center Stage, said the talent show's purpose is to celebrate the diverse talents of CMU.
"With the hard year we’ve all encountered we want students to have an opportunity to showcase what makes them shine," Mulder said.
The audience will be able to vote for their favorite performers. At the conclusion of the final performance, voting will be made open for 15 minutes. The top three performers will receive a cash prize.
Students can access the event via Center Stage website. First place will receive $175. Second place will receive $100. Third place will receive $50.
Sponsors for the event include Isabella Bank and the Resident Housing Association at CMU.
