Christmas Outreach opens with early registration
Isabella County Christmas Outreach, a nonprofit that provides for those in need during the holidays, is offering registration earlier than previous years due to COVID-19.
Isabella County residents must pre-register Oct. 12-16 and Oct. 19-21, by calling (989)-317-8733 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Registered guests will receive a form in the mail to fill out and return with their wish list and sizes. Each household will receive coats, hats, winter gloves, boots and a blanket or bed sheets. According to the organization, each child will get a Christmas stocking and each family will get a gift basket of household items.
There will be three days of distributing gifts on Dec. 10-12 in a drive-thru style. Guests will sign up for an appointment pick-up their pre-bagged items
Donation distribution has moved to a new location this year, Campus Life on 1200 High St. All volunteers and guests are required to wear a mask. I-Ride will help those who do not have transportation to their appointment. Guests that need I-Ride must mark that on their size sheet when returning.
The organization is looking for volunteers to sort items, pack bags and assist on the distribution days.
Donations can be brought to Campus Life on Tuesday Nov. 24 from 9 a.m.to noon and 1-4 p.m. Nov. 24 will be the only day to drop off donation items to Christmas Outreach.
Although Nov. 24 is the only drop off donation day, those unable to make it can mail donations to: Christmas Outreach of Isabella County, P.O.Box 1227, Mount Pleasant, MI 48804.
