CMU to host Brain Storm: Understanding the Intersections of Trauma, Education and Social Justice
Central Michigan University is offering the "Brain Storm: Understanding the Intersections of Trauma, Education and Social Justice" event to students to have a deeper understanding for trauma.
The event will take place from 6-7:30 p.m. Oct. 27 via Webex.
According to the events description, students will "take a deep dive into the science behind brain trauma and explore using this information to provide trauma informed services to youth and their families."
Speakers include Mrs. Tiffany L. Pruitt, from the Saginaw Public School District, and Dr. Anthony Revis, Consultant, Educator and Retired Chemist, Dow Corning Corp.
In order to attend the event and receive access to the Webex, students must register in advance.
The event is sponsored by the Office of Diversity Education and the College of Education and Human Services.
