Police arrest man for exposing himself to students
The Central Michigan University Police Department arrested a man for exposing himself in two separate incidents yesterday afternoon.
Both incidents occurred between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. in parking lot 22 (the commuter lot just outside the Towers residence halls). The man reportedly pulled up next to the students in a goldish-brown sedan and exposed himself before driving off.
About an hour after the initial reports, investigations by the CMU Police Department led to the location of the vehicle at an off-campus address and the identification of the man.
Travis Russell Morrison, a 31-year-old man from St. Johns, was arrested and lodged at the Isabella County Jail and arraigned this afternoon. He has no affiliation with CMU.
Morrison was charged with the following seven crimes by the Isabella County Prosecutors Office:
- Aggravated indecent exposure
- Two counts of indecent exposure
- Two counts of disturbing the peace
- Two counts of disorderly person – obscene conduct
Morrison’s next court date is set for a probable cause conference at 8:15 a.m. on Sept. 10.
