College of Business Administration to host annual ERPsim competition
The College of Business Administration will host its annual ERPsim competition on Thursday, Feb. 13 in McGuirk Arena from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Business students will compete to generate the highest possible income for hypothetical businesses using management software SAP.
Forty teams of four to five students will compete for scholarships ranging from $500 to $1,000. First-place winners will receive a trophy and $1,000 scholarships. Second- and third-place winners will receive plaques and scholarships ranging from $500 to $750.
"It is a very useful tool for students to network and for faculty to meet the industry people,” Dr. Vishal Shah, associate director of SAP and assistant professor in the College of Business Administration, said.
There will be 45 companies in attendance, and 33 will mentor the 40 teams of students. The other 12 companies will watch the teams in action, Shah said.
Students, faculty or companies who are interested in participating in the next competition can email Stephen Tracy, the director of SAP at tracy1s1@cmich.edu.
