Search committee chosen for new CMU vice president of recruitment and retention

President Bob Davies announced a search committee for Central Michigan University's first vice president of student recruitment and retention on Oct. 14.

The position is responsible for student recruitment and retention, including Admissions, Scholarships and Financial Aid, the Registrar's Office, the Office of Student Success and the Career Development Center.

"As the university addresses enrollment, it also must adopt practices to better serve current and incoming freshman, transfer, nontraditional and international students," Davies said. 

On Aug. 29, Davies announced that he was splitting the position of vice president of enrollment and student services into two separate roles. 

The position was split into a vice president of student recruitment and retention and a vice president of student affairs.

Tony Voisin, interim vice president of enrollment and student services is chairing the 13-person committee. Other committee members are:

  • Ernie Bedford, manager, Michigan Programs/Enrollment and Student Services.
  • Ray Christie, senior vice provost, Academic Administration.
  • Jonathan Glenn, assistant director, Sarah R. Opperman Leadership Institute.
  • Traci Guinn, executive director, Multicultural Academic Student Services.
  • Jake Hendricks, president, Student Government Association.
  • Shaun Holtgreive, interim associate vice president, Student Affairs.
  • Anne Hornak, faculty, educational leadership.
  • Christopher Moberg, dean, College of Business Administration.
  • Heather Smith, interim associate vice president, University Communications.
  • Cali Clark, director, Human Resources.
  • Kyle Pybus-Jerome, ceremonies and events coordinator, President's Office.

The committee will be led by search firm Greenwood/Asher and Associates.
