Student symposium to feature student Great Lakes Research projects
The Central Michigan University Institute for Great Lakes Research 7th Annual Student Symposium will take place from 1-4:30 p.m. on March 22 in the School of Engineering and Technology with a reception following the event.
At the symposium, seven graduate students will give PowerPoint presentations about their research projects and student researchers will present their research on posters.
“We invite faculty, staff and students to stop by and find out more about student research on projects related to the Great Lakes and beyond,” said Jessica Lapp, Institute for Great Lakes Research Coordinator of the College of Science and Engineering.
The graduate student PowerPoint presentations will take place from 1-2:15 p.m. and from 3:30-4:30 p.m.
During the time between the graduate student presentations, other student researchers will present their research in the lobby of the School of Engineering and Technology building.
Students will discuss their work and their results with attendees and answer questions.
A reception will take place from 5-8 p.m. at the Riverwood Resort, located at 1313 E. Broomfield Road in Mount Pleasant.
The event is free and open to students and the public.
