Outstanding community leaders to be recognized at awards banquet
The Mount Pleasant Chamber of Commerce invites community members to the 62nd annual awards banquet to honor outstanding community leaders at 5 p.m. on March 2 at the Comfort Inn Conference Center.
One Mount Pleasant resident will be honored with the Outstanding Citizen of the Year Award. Other community service club members or organization volunteers who have gone above and beyond will be honored with Eagle Awards.
Along with other awards, the Business Community Service Awards will be given to two Mount Pleasant Chamber member businesses. One small business and one large business will be awarded for their support of the Chamber of Commerce and their dedication to the community.
One young, outstanding Mount Pleasant professional who has demonstrated leadership to improve the quality of life in Isabella County and has provided significant support of Mount Pleasant Chamber initiatives will be awarded the Young Professional of the Year Award.
New this year, the Rising Star Community Impact Award will be given to an individual who is "a rising star" in their overall service to the community. They may be a Mount Pleasant newcomer or someone who has recently become involved in the community but has already made a huge impact.
Those interested in attending the banquet need to register for a seat on the Chamber of Commerce website. Community members must pay a fee of $65 per person and the previous Citizen of the Year members must pay $50.
