#TBT: Car gets stuck in the snow on Jan. 28, 1976
After a major snowstorm hits Mount Pleasant parking spots across campus were sparse, one Volkswagen Beetle makes useful a snow pile in front of Park Library, January 28, 1976.
Winter is in full swing on campus at Central Michigan University.
The Mount Pleasant area just got multiple inches of snow, and students have prepared for the worst on the way to their classes.
On Jan. 28, 1976, Central Michigan Life published a photo of a Volkswagon that got stuck in a snow bank outside the Park Library.
The caption read: "Snug as a Bug — With snow piled up in parking lots all over the Mt. Pleasant area, drivers must take advantage of whatever space is available, as illustrated by this Volkswagen parked on the snow bank in front of Park Library."
