Hearing Diverse Voices: Students Speak About Navigating CMU Through the Lens of Their Transgender and/or Non-binary Identity is a panel discussion where transgender and gender non-conforming student panelists will share their experiences and answer questions for faculty and staff.
Students interested in attending can register for the event on its website.
Hearing Diverse Voices is a series that aims to show university staff a perspective of people they may not often interact with.
Those in attendance will also be given a handout advising them on practices that include consideration for these types of students. The handout will also promote a “culturally responsive curriculum and instruction," according to the event page.
The discussion will be facilitated by Jon Humiston, special assistant to the provost.
Hearing Diverse Voices is sponsored by the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning.
