Police respond to breaking and entering at Freddie's Tavern
Mount Pleasant Police Department received a phone call on July 20 about an alarm going off at Freddie's Tavern.
According to a press release from Public Information Officer VanDyke, after making contact with an employee, officers entered Freddie's Tavern and discovered that a breaking and entering had occurred. An undetermined amount of money had been stolen.
The officers reviewed the security footage, which showed a suspect leaving the tavern in the direction of Mill Pond Park. They established a perimeter around the park and requested a Police K-9 to track the suspect.
After searching the park, the officers determined the suspect was no longer in the area. They are working on reviewing security footage of the suspect, which will be released at a later date.
