Great Egg Scramble to bring Easter fun, charity to Finch Fieldhouse March 24
As Easter approaches, Mount Pleasant Parks and Recreation, 95.3 WCFX and Graff of Mount Pleasant are celebrating with the Great Egg Scramble. Festivities begin at 12:30 p.m. on March 24 in Finch Fieldhouse.
Admission is free and canned goods will be collected for the Isabella Community Soup Kitchen. The event is organized Mount Pleasant Recreation Coordinator Carol Moody.
Kids ages two through 10 will be able to scramble for plastics eggs to win candy and prizes. Moody said it's called the Great Egg Scramble because the eggs are thrown out to kids so they don't have to hunt for them but hurry to grab them. There will also be crafts, games, refreshments and the event.
Scramble times are scheduled by age group: Ages 2-3 at 1 p.m., ages 4-5 at 2 p.m., ages 6-7 at 2:30 p.m., and ages 8-10 at 3 p.m.
Moody said this program is more than 30 years old and an annual event for the community to come out and enjoy some free Easter fun.
"It's a great time for the community and it's free, so that's why we keep putting it on," Moody said.
