Pelafas, Pogarch earn MAC soccer postseason awards
On Thursday, the Mid-American Conference announced its women’s soccer postseason awards.
Central Michigan junior forward Lexi Pelafas and junior midfielder Madison Pogarch were honored for their achievements in the 2017 season.
Pelafas made the All-MAC First Team. She finished the season with 13 goals, two assists and 94 shots. Pelafas broke the CMU all-time goal scoring record in 2017.
Pogarch scored one goal and tallied four assists this year, earning All-MAC Second Team honors.
Bowling Green’s Skylar Fleak won the Offensive Player of the Year award, while Kent State’s Paige Culver earned the Defensive Player of the Year award.
