Golf sits in sixth place after first round of Dayton Invitational
After the first round of the University of Dayton Invitational, Central Michigan women's golf is tied for sixth place out of 14 teams with a total score of 305 on Monday.
The 305-round score is the Chippewas' best round this season, besting the 306 mark that the team shot at the Ball State Cardinal Classic.
Freshman Jami Laude led the Chippewas with a 72 in the first round. Laude is tied for second place individually with seven other golfers.
Senior Natalie Johnson and sophomore Bria Colosky each shot a 77 and are tied for 28th individually. Seniors Holly Hines and Amanda Walsh both shot a 79 and tied for 40th individually while senior Kristen Wolfe shot an 84, which was 63rd individually.
Findlay leads all teams with a score of 293. Bridget Connolly of Western Illinois leads individually with a 70 after round one.
