Golf sits in ninth place after close first day at Eastern Michigan invitational
Central Michigan golf shot a 632 and currently sits in ninth place after the first two rounds of the Eastern Michigan Shirley Spork Invitational on Monday.
Senior Natalie Johnson led the way for the Chippewas. She finished tied for 14th overall individually with a score of 153.
Senior Kristen Wolfe and junior Bria Colosky each posted a score of 160. Freshman Jami Laude and sophomore Danielle Sawyer weren’t far behind with scores of 161 and 165, respectively.
Pacing the invitational was Marshall University with a score of 596. Western Michigan’s Julia Champion leads the way individually with a score of 145.
CMU will tee off Tuesday morning, trailing seventh place Dayton and Ohio by 3 strokes.
