Thrilling Thursdays to host 'Fun with Vegetables' event
The City of Mount Pleasant will team up with McLaren Central Michigan for the fifth week of the Thrilling Thursdays series.
'Fun with Vegetables,' starts at 6 p.m. on July 13 in Town Center Park, on the corner of Main and Broadway streets.
The goal of the event is to make vegetables seem more appealing and less intimidating to children, said Melinda Salchert, special events coordinator for The City of Mount Pleasant. A chef from McLaren will be hosting games and activities centered around vegetables, like cutting vegetables into shapes and designs.
'Fun with Vegetables' is part of the 10-week Thrilling Thursdays series, which encourages residents to be active and explore the Mount Pleasant community.
