Janowicz earns MAC Gymnast of the Week
Following a performance that tied a career best 39.4 all-around score, Central Michigan sophomore Kasey Janowicz has been named the Mid-American Conference Gymnast of the Week.
This is the first time this season Janowicz has competed all-around. Janowicz scored a 9.8 on vault, set a career high on bars with a 9.9, scored a 9.825 on balance beam and earned a 9.875 on floor.
This week was Janowicz first time on floor all season and she was only .25 away from her career best.
Janowicz and the Chippewas will be back in action for the final home meet of the season at 2 p.m. Saturday against Northern Illinois at McGuirk Arena.
