December commencement ceremony speakers announced


More than 3,100 Central Michigan University students will graduate Dec. 17.

A different speaker will address each of the three ceremonies for undergraduate and graduate students at 9 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. in the Kulhavi Events Center in McGuirk Arena.

Nick Krzyzaniak, manager of seven Danone business units in North America, will speak at the 9 a.m. ceremony. Krzyzaniak is an alumnus from '86, and has also led his company as chief executive officer of Danone Canada.

Christine Holton Cashen, a certified speaking professional, will address the 1:30 p.m. ceremony. The CMU alumnae from '89 has traveled throughout the United States, Canada, South Africa and Australia as a motivational speaker for more than 15 years.

Tonya Matthews, president and chief executive officer of the Michigan Science Center, will speak to the graduates at the 6 p.m. ceremony.
