Charles V. Park Library to host Griffin Policy Forum
The College of Humanities and Social and Behavioral Sciences will host the annual Griffin Policy Forum at 7 p.m. Sept. 26 in the Charles V. Park Library Auditorium.
Panelists include Michigan Democratic Party Chair Brandon Dillion and Ronna Romney McDaniel, chair of the Michigan Republican Party. The Moderator of this event is Lawrence Sych, head of the department of Political Science and Public Administration.
Panelists will discuss whether they think the United States’ government is moving in a direction the general public agrees with. They will share their own perspectives on the U.S. Presidential election and where they think the country going.
The goal of this forum is to make a political connection to a current issue. They hope to discuss the current status and roles of the parties with students and members of the community.
“It will provide a unique opportunity for students to get a first-hand view for what the parties stand for,” said Gary Randall, the Robert and Marjorie Griffin Endowed Chair in American Government.
Immediately following the forum will be a public reception held in the Park Library Baber Room. The forum is open to the public.
