Weidman man faces additional charges in Isabella County burglary ring

A 32-year-old Weidman resident was arrested on Monday in Flint on breaking and entering charges in Isabella County.

Robert Frank Guynn Jr. was arrested and charged with one count of breaking and entering a building, one count of home invasion in the second degree and one count of possession of burglary tools.

Sheriff Leo Mioduszewski said Guynn was charged in January for one count of breaking and entering in Mescosta County, where he bonded out.

Guynn is one of three mid-Michigan men charged in a November 2009 burglary ring which impacted six counties across Michigan.

$209,000 worth of items was stolen from 104 properties in Isabella, Clare, Mecosta, Gladwin and Roscommon counties.

He was arraigned and remains lodged at the Isabella County Jail, Mioduszewski said. Guynn's bond is set at $600,000.

Guynn could face up to 15 years in prison or a $3,000 fine for the second count and up to 10 years for the other two counts.

Isabella County Chief Assistant Prosecutor Risa Scully said she is not sure if other counties have issued charges yet.

"It's up to the other counties," said Scully. "But I do anticipate that will happen."

The other two suspects were charged in Isabella County as well.

Michael Louis Dunklee, 31, of Mount Pleasant, was charged with one count of breaking and entering. Lucas Alexander Williams, 31 of Remus, was charged with one count of receiving and concealing stolen items.

Items recovered by police included two Kubota tractors, a six-wheel drive Ranger, 10 all-terrain vehicles, seven firearms, two tandem axle trailers, a zero-turn radius lawn mower, two riding lawn mowers, televisions, log splitters, tools and other items.

The three men were arrested by a police task force consisting of the Sheriff's Department and Michigan State Police from the Reed City and Mount Pleasant posts. Detectives from Clare County, Osceola County and Mecosta County also assisted in the arrests.
