Campus roads closing Sunday
Because of routine maintenance on Central Michigan University’s Public Broadcasting towers, university officials are closing a variety of campus roads, parking lots and facilities starting Sunday.
Linda Slater, director of plant engineering and planning, said the closures are purely precautionary.
“We are committed to ensuring the safety of this site,” Slater said in a statement. “Erring on the side of caution is in the best interest of CMU and the community.”
Facilities Management reported the following closures, effective Sunday and will last at least three days:
- The CHIP Facility/Grounds building.
- West Campus Drive between Theunissen Stadium and University Park Drive.
- Denison Drive between Three Leaves Drive and West Campus Drive.
- A portion of Lot 64.
- The pathway that originates along the south edge of the Field Hockey Complex.
- The soccer practice field.
- Lot 68 near the CHIP Facility remains closed through early December.
