Church seminar to discuss creation

The Grace World Outreach Church is planning to stir things up, hosting the “Unlocking the Mysteries of Creation” multimedia seminar series.

“We will be presenting scientific evidence that supports the biblical view of creation,” said the Rev. Chuck Swarthout, pastor of the Grace World Outreach Church.

It is a four-part series to take place Sunday through Wednesday.

Each night is a multimedia presentation that begins at 7 p.m., Swarthout said.

The series will take place at the Prospect Park Church of God, 1906 S. Lynnwood Drive.

Seminar topics include “Why teach Creation,?” “The Early Earth — According to Eyewitnesses,” “The Faltering Falsehood of Evolution,” “Dinosaurs, The Rest of the Tale,” “Man’s Origin: Animal or Divine?” and “Unlocking the Mysteries of Ancient Civilizations.”

Admission is free, but suggested donations have been set at $40 for families, $29 for adults and $15 for students.

The church realizes it’s views and seminar will not come without some controversy.

“We hope to stir things up a little,” Swarthout said.

After the Tuesday night seminar, a question-and-answer session will take place.

The series includes multimedia presentations and 1,000 synchronized color slides. For more information on the “Unlocking the Mysteries of Creation” series, call 773-1499.
