Running backs coach Nick Sheridan to leave CMU for Indiana
After less than a month on the Central Michigan football coaching staff, running backs coach Nick Sheridan has accepted a position on the Indiana staff.
Head coach John Bonamego confirmed the news on Friday and released a statement.
“I’ve known Nick and his father for years,” Bonamego said. “I want what’s best for him and his career, and we wish him the best. We’ll re-open our search for a running backs coach.”
Sheridan, who played quarterback at Michigan from 2006-09, accepted the position with the Chippewas in January.
Sheridan spent the past three seasons at Tennessee where he served as a graduate assistant and spent time under new Indiana offensive coordinator, Mike DeBord.
His father, Bill, is the linebackers coach for the Detroit Lions. Bill and Bonamego coached together with the Lions and the Miami Dolphins.
